2022 Labor Rates
All of us at Smith Engineering would like to thank you for your business and commitment to our partnership during what has been a very difficult 2021 for many of our businesses and employees personally. We hope that 2022 will be a very profitable year for all and we can return to the thriving marketplace that we all experienced pre-pandemic.
Smith Engineering strives to provide exceptional service, as well as the highest of quality and consistency in our DI regenerations. Due to volatility in the chemical exchange market, increased fuel prices, increased labor rates and added restrictions due to Covid19, we have endured considerable cost increases. Although we strive to control the cost of service, we are required at this time to institute a price increase to our DI Exchange and Service rates in order to maintain the service level and operational performance that our customer base requires.
Effective January 1st of 2022, our DI Exchange rates for Two Bed and Mixed Bed service will increase by approximately 9.0% for all tank sizes.
Additionally, effective January 1st of 2022, we will increase our service labor rates. A cost saving incentive is available for our contracted customers. Customers entering a formal service agreement will receive a reduced labor rate for the length of the agreement. Please see below for an explanation of the labor rate increase.
